Dear Parents & Carers,
Our refurbishment as part of the school build has commenced for Blocks G & H. Block G will be the new OOSH building and Block H will be the new classroom for 1 Wirambi.
Our keen Stage 3 team of debaters have started their debates against other schools this week and will continue debating into term 3. We wish them all the best for their upcoming debates.
A reminder to parents, please do not park your car in the kiss and drop area as this holds up the flow of traffic and creates a traffic jam. Kiss and Drop works extremely well when this area is kept free of parked cars. Please remember to have your number displayed in your window. If you would like to use Kiss and Drop please email the school to arrange a number.
Many classes are actively skipping and getting ready for our Jump Rope for Heart Gala Day on the last day of this term. Please continue to collect donations and purchase online a cheese pizza for lunch on the day.
We have our Teddy Bear’s Picnic coming up on Wednesday 25th June, so don’t forget to join your child/ren for a picnic lunch on the day from 1:30pm. All parents and carers are welcome to attend. Please ensure that all teddy bears are labelled with your child’s name.
Congratulation to Miss Abouchanab, now Mrs Hanania, class teacher of K Orange who got married a few weeks ago. Mrs Hanania will return back to school tomorrow.

Table Tennis Silver Medalists!
We are thrilled to share the news that Renee and Lily (Year 3) participated in the NSW Primary Schools Table Tennis Championships, fighting their way to the final to claim the silver medal. This is the second year that Renee and Lily have represented our school with pride and achieved an excellent outcome.
A special congratulations to Renee, whose consistent performances in recent competitions have earned her a place on the NSW State Team (Girls Under 11) - what an incredible achievement!

On the 11th of June, our Kindergarten to Year 2 students took part in their very own Cross Country and what an exciting day! The sun was shining, and the air was filled with cheers from proud parents and peers. Our K-2 runners gave it their all as they ran and jogged their way around the field. Each year level had a different distance to complete, and everyone gave it their best go. There was lots of cheering and encouragement along the way, with students and teachers supporting from the sidelines. It was wonderful to see everyone having fun, being active, and celebrating each other's achievements. A big congratulations to all our K–2 students for participating and showing great determination. We’re so proud of you!
3 Dingoo is trying to see things differently!

Congratulations to Shiva who represented Merrylands-Parramatta at the Sydney West Soccer Championships. The team finished in second place. Well done Shiva!
In Maths, 1 Wirambi has been doing hands on activities to learn about different 2D shapes and using that knowledge to create their own animals. They are also practicing the orientation of a number chart by playing the 0-30 game, and learning how to make equal groups from a collection. During National Sorry Day, the class wore it yellow and made reconciliation hearts. Students took their learning outside for descriptive writing and science- where students played with water to learn about sinking a floating!
