3 Dingoo is trying to see things differently!
This term, 3 Dingoo has been learning about how different people can see an event or moment in different ways. We have read many wonderful books looking at perspective and have had debates about different issues!
We have celebrated the joy of togetherness and friendship but also the sadness and hurt that can be experience for Reconciliation day. Check out our amazing heart!
We explored how different people see mistakes. Are they something terrible? Can we learn from them and that can make us stronger? Do we see them as an OPPORTUNITY to turn and mistake into something beautiful? A beautiful OOPS perhaps? We then set ourselves a challenge to create a unique artwork with permanent marker and paint... if there was a mistake made, a whole lot of positive self-talk happened and then it needed to be turned into a beautiful OOPS! There were no second tries because we didn't need them! This mistakes and opportunity language is a wonderful way we embrace how not everything goes to plan BUT how we can sometimes view it in another way. I love how different each artwork is, JUST like us!
Fun Fact: Did you know that the post it note was a beautiful oops? Over 40 years ago, Dr Spencer Silver, a 3M Scientist, was trying to make a SUPER strong adhesive (glue) when he accidently created a glue that could only lightly stick to a surface. This failure turned out to be just what the world wanted and needed!
