1 Gula
1 Gula have been working hard during our Talk For Writing Program. This Term they have been learning how to use a variety of tools and techniques to create information texts on Leafy Sea Dragons. We read a range of books, watched a variety of informative videos and then gathered interesting facts. Each student was able to group their information in the correct structure. They were excited to type and publish their completed work. In Maths, 1 Gula have been using a collection objects to distribute into smaller and equal groups. They also used number lines to show repeated addition - pretty impressive! In History, they have been engaged in exploring how life has changed from the past to the present. They were particularly fascinated to learn that technology was not always part of daily life, and that children once spent much more time playing outdoor games like hide and seek, hopscotch, and marbles with no iPads or laptops. They were also surprised to discover that, in the past, people had to rent movies from stores to watch them at home.
