In Kindergarten this term we have been learning to count forwards and backwards from 20. The mathematicians in KRed were able to identify that counting forwards and backwards requires some knowledge before hand. Students were able to break this down and say:

"We need to be able to say the numbers".
"You need to learn what number comes after and what number comes before."
"If you don't know how to count forwards and backwards from 20, try counting forwards and backwards from 10 or 5."
