This past week ½ Gudugulung have been learning about Place value with Rory as a teachers helper. Students in Year 1 have been learning about two digit number place value using number lines, hundreds charts and MAB blocks to create tens and ones. Students in Year 2 worked on three digit numbers also using a variety of mathematical equipment and drawing to show their understanding.

This week we have also been working with measuring and area of a table, whiteboard and other classroom objects using informal units for Year 1 and more formal units with Year 2. Rory has been a regular participant in lessons.

We are looking forwards to Teddy Day, Mufti, Wear it Yellow, National Simultaneous Storytime, Responsible pets Incursion and Naidoc week. Here are some pictures of the fun we have had in our classroom.
