5/6 Windradyne
This term, students in 5/6 Windradyne have been busy exploring both science and design in creative ways.
Year 5 students recently took part in an exciting science experiment workshop run by a local high school. They worked alongside high school science teachers to explore chemical reactions and experiment with materials, gaining a glimpse into what secondary school science looks like. The hands-on activities sparked plenty of curiosity and enthusiasm!

Meanwhile, the whole class has been applying their design and problem-solving skills to build an airport — first through detailed paper plans, then by bringing their creations to life in Minecraft. Students have shown great imagination and teamwork, designing runways, terminals and control towers while considering how real airports operate.
