Jersey Day
Jersey Day is an annual awareness event, where schools and workplaces are encouraged to wear a sporting jersey to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation. The initiative was inspired by Nathan Gremmo’s family. In May 2015, the Gremmo family’s life changed forever when their eldest child, Nathan, was critically injured at age 13. Nathan’s family chose to gift the life of others to honour Nathan’s generous personality, through organ and tissue donation. This gift saved the lives of six people – five young adults and a baby.
Staff and students at PEPS wore sporting jerseys on Friday 5th September to help raise awareness and start the conversation about organ and tissue donation.
