Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been wonderful to see our school build moving ahead so quickly. Each week brings exciting progress, and while this does mean some temporary changes to our daily routines, we know the end result will be worth it.

To help keep everyone in the loop, we are using newsletters, app notifications, and emails to share updates. We kindly ask all families to take the time to read these communications so that you stay across any adjustments to normal operations.

Changes to the use of school toilets

We have noticed some students using the toilets in ways that are not appropriate — meeting up with friends, hanging out, or even having a snack inside. To help keep our school safe and orderly, we’ve made a few adjustments:

• K–2 students are now using the demountable toilets.
• Years 3–6 students will continue using the original toilets.

Teachers are helping by monitoring visits during class time, but we would also appreciate your support. Please have a chat with your child about using the toilets responsibly and reminding them that these spaces are not for playing or socialising.

Athletics Carnival

A very big thank you to Miss Goundar, Miss Palmer, and our dedicated admin staff for quickly reorganising arrangements to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.

Despite being challenged more than once by weather and ground closures, our Athletics Carnival was able to go ahead successfully. Thank you to everyone for your patience and support.

To give you an idea of the complexity of trying to organise our carnival this year the following happened.  Notes were sent home on 26 June and 22 July, emails were distributed on 21 July, 23 July, 15 August, 25 August, 27 August, and 29 August, and app notifications were also sent on 21 July, 23 July, 15 August, 18 August, 26 August, 27 August, and 29 August. We are grateful to everyone who made the effort to respond so the event could run smoothly.
