6 Freeman
6 Freeman have had a fantastic term so far! In English, we have been working towards completing the Premier’s Reading Challenge and enjoying our class novel The Power of Positive Pranking by Nat Amoore. We have also been learning about informative texts, and had lots of fun using AI to create imaginary animals and write fact sheets about them. In Mathematics, we have been building our skills in multiplication and division, as well as learning how to use the order of operations to solve problems. The highlight of the term, however, has definitely been the Stage 3 Camp to the Great Aussie Bush Camp. We hope you enjoy reading some short accounts of the camp written by 6 Freeman students.
At camp, one of the activities I did was the giant swing. I thought it would be high but it actually wasn't high at all! But I accidentally went down too soon which left me thinking, "Wow, that was fun, but I don't know what I did wrong?!" It was one of my favourite activities on camp and it was so fun. - Harshika
At camp I had fun on the giant swing. I was so so sooo scared but it was worth it. I also had fun on the flying fox as well as the treetops course. The treetops course was fun but hard. I felt like I was going to fall! - Tessa
At camp I enjoyed doing the giant swing but the painful thing was that I had to pull the rope for the person who was going to swing. The annoying thing was that we were woken up at 6am with bad music! Before going back to school we had sausages and a can of Pepsi. I enjoyed doing canoeing. It was very fun in the water but I capsized as soon as I was about to enter the water. I really enjoyed it! The good thing was the weather was hot that day and it was fun getting wet. - Abdullah
When I went on camp I did the giant swing. It was funny and scary. When it was Aadil's turn he started to scream, "Ahhhh!" When Aadil, Abdullah and I were canoeing we capsized and the water was so cold. Mrs Dabinett asked us, "How did you capsize?" The activities I enjoyed were the flying fox and canoeing. - Amir
We left for camp on Wednesday and started activities straight away. Some of the activities were the giant swing, canoeing, zipline and archery. The food was okay. My friends and I had a superb time! - Evelyn
Camp was a great time. We left on Wednesday and came back on Friday. My friends and I had such a great time. I feel like I enjoyed the nights in the cabins and some of the activities. - Henissia
