Public Speaking Competition - Stage 2 and 3
On Monday 25th August, Stage 2 and Stage 3 students participated in the Metropolitan South and Metropolitan South and West Public Speaking Competition in the school hall. Each class had a representative to speak on a persuasive topic of their own choosing, as well as deliver a speech on an impromptu topic. The impromptu topics were "Champions" and "Taking a Break". All students delivered convincing speeches and have developed amazing skills in speaking in front of an audience.
Our Stage 2 finalist was Harrison Irrgang and our Stage 3 finalist was Khadijah Irfan. Congratulations to these students, who will represent our school at the local final in Week 7 with Mrs Humble and our Kindergarten and Stage 1 representatives.
Thank you to the parents, families and teachers for supporting the students in this competition. Public speaking is a skill that can be used throughout their schooling lives and beyond.
