This term, 5/6 Windradyne have been exploring the fascinating world of artificial intelligence by creating informative articles about AI-generated animals. Students have combined creativity with research skills to develop detailed fact sheets that look and read like real scientific texts. Through this process, they have also been learning an important digital literacy skill — understanding that not everything we see or read is true. We have discussed how AI can create realistic images and convincing information, and why it’s important to question sources, check facts, and think critically. This project has been an engaging way for students to practise their writing skills while building awareness of how technology shapes the information we encounter.
