Dear Parents and Carers,
A huge thank you to all our families, staff, P & C and the wider community for joining us our 75th Celebrations last week. Our students showcased their talents through our choir and dance groups. We celebrated 75 years of PEPS at a very special assembly and our fete on Friday. I am sure you all had a wonderful day and enjoyed joining in with all the fun activities and events. Congratulations to all raffle ticket and chocolate wheel prize winners. I am very pleased to announce that with all your support we raised almost $9,000.00 for our school.
Just a reminder we are currently taking enrolments for Kindergarten 2025, so if you have a younger child starting school next year please complete an online enrolment now. We have had a pleasure of meeting some of our new 2025 Kindergarten students this week as we are conducting our interviews. Our next event for Kindergarten 2025 is our Parent Information evening on Thursday 31st October from 6:00-7:00pm in our school hall.
Term 3 has been a very busy and productive one and I wish all our families a very restful, safe and happy holidays as the term draws to an end on Friday.
Teachers and students return to school for Term 4 on Monday 14th October. Looking forward to our exciting and final term of learning for 2025.
Kind regards,
Mrs Smith
Relieving Principal

3 Warin have had a fantastic term of learning. During writing lessons, we have been exploring book reviews and having a go of writing our own after reading a range of books from the library. Students displayed their technology skills by publishing their book reviews and adding a watermark of the book they reviewed. We have also enjoyed maths lesson outside, measuring the length of different objects in our school environment. Students have been developing their problem-solving skills when solving word problems in mathematics lessons, using a range of strategies. Students have also enjoyed participating in AFL sessions each Thursday and had fun at Healthy Harold, learning about friendships.
Well done to Hayden who represented Parramatta East PS at the Sydney School Handball Competition where he placed 3rd and received the award for most improved player. Well done, Hayden!
KGunyagunya have been working hard to be good writers. In Kindergarten, students have been learning to leave spaces between words, start with a capital letter, use taught sounds to spell words and end with a full stop. For the last 2 weeks, students have been using their "teacher pencil" (orange or red pencil) to fix their sentences. KGunyagunya are becoming more aware of what a good sentence looks like and they should be very proud of themselves!
