Dear Parents and Carers,
It was so wonderful to see so many grandparents attend our ‘Grandparents Day’ on Friday 25th October. I am sure your grandchildren loved having you in their classrooms.
Just a reminder we are still taking enrolments for Kindergarten 2025, if you have a younger child starting school next year please complete an online enrolment now.
We held our first orientation session for all Kindergarten 2025 students yesterday and it was a delight to welcome them all into our classrooms. Our next two sessions are on Tuesday 11th November and Tuesday 26th November from 9:30-10:30am. Children are expected to attend both sessions.
Thank you to all families for returning their intention to return forms to school. We are currently making plans for the 2025 school year.
Kind regards,
Justine Miller
Principal
To celebrate grandparents day, our students welcomed their grandparents into their classrooms for an afternoon of fun. Enjoy some photos of our lovely afternoon with our grandparents!

On Friday 1st November our cricket and newcombeball teams represented Parramatta East Public School at the Interschool Sport Gala Day. Students participated in modified games against other schools in a round robin format, where they showcased their skills. All students had a great day and showed fantastic levels of sportsmanship.
In mathematics, 2 Gunggung have been learning about volume and capacity. During this lesson, we experimented with making larger 3D shapes out of smaller ones, and students were challenged to find how many different 3D shapes they could create using the same number of cubes, teaching students that different shapes can have the same volume.
In Stage 2 this term, we are learning about poetry as a writing form. We began by exploring how imagery is created by an author's use of language such as adjectives and verbs, as well as figurative language such as personification, similes and some rhyme! After looking at the structure of a poem, we started planning and writing our own poems about weather events such as sunny days, rainy days and natural disasters. These are some of the impressive poems written by the students of 3/4 Murawung!
