Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of another remarkable school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the journey we have shared over the past months. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments, and I am incredibly proud of our students, staff, and community.
This year, we have seen our students flourish both academically and personally. From engaging classroom activities to inspiring performances in our school events, their enthusiasm and dedication have shone brightly. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our teachers and staff, whose tireless efforts have provided a nurturing environment for our students to thrive.
We have also strengthened our connections with families and the wider community. Thank you to all the parents and caregivers who have volunteered their time and resources, attended our events, and supported our initiatives. Your involvement makes a significant difference in our school community.
We will continue to focus on fostering a love of learning, encouraging creativity, and supporting the well-being of every child. We are excited about the plans we have for the upcoming year, including new programs and initiatives aimed at enriching our students' educational experiences.
As we look ahead to the 2025 school year, we want to keep you informed about the process of class formation and our plans for student placement.
In order to create the best learning environment for our students, we will be forming classes based on final enrolment numbers. It is important to note that until our enrolment numbers are finalised, students will be placed in a holding class on the first day of school. This class is not your child's final 2025 class. Classes will not be finalised until mid-February when enrolment numbers are certain. During the first couple of weeks there is likely to be some changes to classes. While in their holding class, students will commence the year's academic programs as normal.
On the first day back, students will line up with their 2024 class and go to class with their 2024 class for the first couple of hours while our new Kindergarten students get settled into their classrooms. By the end of the first day, students will be in their 2025 holding classes. For this reason, we will dismiss students from the following areas:
Day 1 Dismissal Locations - Thursday 6th February
Kindergarten 2025 - COLA (hall end)
Stage 1 2025 - COLA (office end)
Stage 2 2025 - Small COLA
Stage 3 2025 - Basketball court
We will keep you updated throughout this process and encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns. We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate this important phase of planning. Our goal is to ensure that every child has the best possible start to the school year in 2025.
As we plan for the 2025 school year, we want to ensure we have the most accurate information regarding your child's enrolment. If your circumstances change and you anticipate that your child will not be enrolling with us in 2025, please notify us as soon as possible.
Your timely communication will help us better prepare for the upcoming school year and ensure we can accommodate all students effectively.
Please send any updates or changes to your current enrolment plans via email to parramatte-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au
I would like to wish everyone a safe and joyful holiday season. May this break be filled with laughter, relaxation, and time spent with loved ones. I look forward to welcoming our students back in the new year, ready for new adventures and achievements. The first day back for students is Thursday 6th February.
Thank you for being an integral part of our PEPS family. Have a wonderful holiday!
Warm regards,
Justine Miller
